Installation
5) VPS System: If you have a VPS system, the Bug Spray Applicator Manifold will be positioned using the driver side exit
VPS Photo-Eye. See the image below.
Once this manifold is in place and lagged down it is now necessary to mount the crossover tube to
the floor. See the image below.
There are two options for mounting of this system.
OPTION # 1: Secure the manifold directly to the floor.
• This option places the Bug Spray feed in the path of vehicle tires. So, it is important to protect the soft rubber feed
hose.
• A “crossover” tube made of hard piping is necessary. See the image below.
OPTION # 2: Mount the manifold and crossover feed in a trench cut into the floor.
• This option will keep the bay floor clean and obstruction free.
• It is still important to mount the hard pipe “crossover” tube in line with the tire so if the trench is not cleaned up and
dirt gets packed inside, the hose doesn’t wear prematurely. See the image below.
Note: In both cases the “crossover” tube should be mounted approximately 12’’ in before of the bug
spray applicator manifold (toward the entrance). This will allow the hose to be looped and
connected between the two manifolds.
