Question Answer
When using the Spectro-
photometer Unit, which
of white or black should
be chosen in the White/
Black Backing Plate?
(See "Color Calibration Using the Spectrophotometer Unit (option).") P.742
(See "Color Checks Using the Spectrophotometer Unit (option).") P.745
If you are using paper that light passes through easily, we recommend that you select white.
If a color is used for one paper type that is different from the color that was used the previous time, it may
have an effect on the color measurement result.
If I am using the Spectro-
photometer Unit, can I
measure the colors of
any paper?
You might not be able to execute color measurement or might not be able to obtain the correct color measure-
ment results when using the following paper.
Colored paper
Paper where the surface is not even
Paper where the color density is low when printing
