Diluting
DILUTE is available only if the sample preparation option is installed. The
following steps occur during a dilution:
• The sample syringe picks up a volume of concentrate from the
concentrate vial and dispenses it to the destination vial.
• The prep syringe dispenses a volume of diluent to the destination vial.
• The sample syringe mixes the destination vial five times, using 80%
of the volume in the vial.
• The sample syringe is flushed with a volume equal to the amount of
concentrate plus one full syringe stroke.
