TIGHTENING TORQUE FIGURES
Section
Tighten all nuts and screws to the specied torque using a torque wrench. If not tightened securely, a nut or a screw might
become damaged or work itself loose, causing damage to motorcycle and injury to rider. An overtightened nut or screw might
become damaged, its thread might strip, or the nut/screw might fail and work itself loose. Listed in the table are the tightening
torque gures for the most important nuts and screws, which have determined in accordance with thread diameter, pitch and
specic application. These gures are obtained after cleaning the threads with solvent.
