selectedMASTER,you’llbeabletocontrolthe
moduleon/offstatusandvarythepatternsand
phrasesgeneratedbyalloftheKARMAmodules.
Youcanalsooperate
theslidersandswitchesinthe
displayorusingtheVALUEcontroller,justasin
Programmode.
TheKARMAmoduleandthetypeorvalueofthe
parameterbeingcontrolledbytheslidersand
switchesisshownintheKARMAModuleInfo
“KARMAValue”field.Thisletsyouseethe
KARMA
moduleandparametersthatarebeing
affectedbyyoursliderorswitchoperations.
4. UsethefrontpanelSCENE1–8switchestochoose
ascene.
ThischangesthescenefortheKARMAmodule(s)
selectedbytheMODULECONTROLswitch.
IfMODULECONTROLissettoMASTER,each
KARMAmodulewillchangetothe
scenethatis
savedasthemastersetting.
Eachoftheeightscenescontainsthevaluesof
sliders1–8andswitches1–8.BypressingaSCENE
1–8switchtochooseascene,youcaninstantlyrecall
settingsfortheeightslidersandeightswitches.
Evenifyouswitchscenes,thechangesyoumake
usingsliders1–8andswitches1–8areremembered
untilyouselectanothercombination.Whenyou
writeacombination,yoursliderandswitchsettings
aresavedintherespectivescene1–8.

sliders and KARMA SWITCHES 1–8
JustasintheequivalentpageofProgrammode,the
CombinationP0:Play–KARMAGEpagedisplaysthe
slidersandswitchesassignedtothecombination,and
theirnames.
Inthecombination,thenameshowninsquarebrackets
[]isthecategoryoftheprogramselectedforthe
timbrebeingcontrolledby
theKARMACONTROLS
1–8slidersandKARMASWITCHES.Thistellsyouthe
timbrewhosephraseisbeingcontrolledbythe
KARMACONTROLS1–8slidersandKARMA
SWITCHES.
Ifmultipletimbresarebeingcontrolled
simultaneously,thiswillindicate[MLTI].
KARMA module “Run” and “Solo” settings
InCombinationmode,uptofourKARMAmodules
canbeoperatingsimultaneously.
IftheKARMAfunctionisoff,allKARMAmodules
willbestopped.IftheKARMAfunctionison,the
KARMAmodule(s)youspecifyherewilloperate.
1. AccesstheCombinationP7:KARMA–GE
Setup/KeyZonespage.
2. Usethe“Run”and“Solo”
settingstospecifythe
module(s)thatwilloperatewhenKARMAison.
KARMAmoduleswhose“Run”settingisOn
(checked)willoperate.
Ifyouturn“Solo”On(checked),onlythatKARMA
modulewillsound.Thisisusefulwhenyouare
selectingaGE,orwhenyouwanttoauditionthe
phrasethat
amoduleisgenerating.
Moduleswhose“Solo”isOn(checked)willsound
evenif“Run”isOff(unchecked).
The“Solo”settingisclearedwhenyouswitchto
anothercombination.Itisnotsavedwhenyouwrite
thecombination.
KARMAmoduleAwillsound.
KARMAmoduleBwillsound.
KARMAmodulesAandB
willsound.
Note:If“”isnotshowninthedisplay,“Run”
hasbeenassignedasaperformancerealtime
performance.TheKARMASWITCHESetc.will
control“RUN.”
