Procedures
1. Execute maintenance mode U917
(Backup data reading).
(Refer P.6-244)
2. Detach the rear left cover.
3. Disconnect two connectors (b) from the
hard disk unit (a).

4. Remove two screws (a)(M3x8) and
remove the hard disk unit (b).
5. Check or replace the hard disk unit and
then reattach the parts in the original
position.
*: Handle the HDD so as not to drop or get it
in touch with hard objects as it is suscepti-
ble to vibrations and impacts especially
along the direction of disc rotation. Be
careful not to apply shocks while securing
the screws.
6. Execute maintenance mode U024
(HDD formatting) -Format - Full. (Refer
P.6-31)
