11.2.1.2 Viewing Inventory Information
Use this panel to display the switch's Vital Product Data, stored in non-volatile memory at the factory.
Non-Configurable Data
System Description - The product name of this switch.
Machine Type - The machine type of this switch.
Machine Model - The model within the machine type.
Serial Number - The unique box serial number for this switch.
FRU Number – The field replaceable unit number.
Part Number - The manufacturing part number.
Maintenance Level – The identification of the hardware change level
Manufacturer – The two-octet code that indicates the manufacturer.
Burned in MAC Address - The burned-in universally administered MAC address of this switch.
Software Version – The platform.function.release.manintenance number of the code is currently
running on the switch.
Hardware Version - The hardware version of this switch. It is divided into two parts. The first byte is
the major version and the second byte represents the minor version.
Label Revision Number - The label revision serial number of this switch is used for manufacturing
purpose.
Operating System - The operating system currently running on the switch.
Network Processing Device - Identifies the network processor hardware.
