2.2 MECHANISMS
2.2.1 Drive Mechanism
The drum is driven by the drum motor [A] at the speed of 105mm/s. The
drum motor is a brushless type motor. This motor contains a drive controller
circuit Pcb, which controls the drum rotation.
A fly-wheel on the end of the drum shaft stabilizes the rotation speed. This
prevents banding on copies.
The cleaning mechanism is also driven by the drum motor. The drive from
the drum motor is transmitted to the cleaning brush [B] via the timing belt [C].
The drum motor also drives the transfer belt.
