Inputs, Outputs, Timers, and Other Control Logic
Multiple Setting Groups
Multiple Setting Groups
The relay has six (6) independent setting groups. Each setting group has
complete relay (overcurrent, reclosing, frequency, etc.) and SEL
OGIC control
equation settings.
Active Setting Group
Indication
Only one setting group can be active at a time. Relay Word bits SG1–SG6
indicate the active setting group:
For example, if setting Group 4 is the active setting group, Relay Word bit
SG4 asserts to logical 1, and the other Relay Word bits SG1, SG2, SG3, SG5,
and SG6 are all deasserted to logical 0.
Selecting the Active
Setting Group
The active setting group is selected with:
➤ SELOGIC control equation settings SS1–SS6.
➤ The serial port GROUP command (see Section 10: Serial Port
Communications and Commands).
➤ Or the front-panel {GROUP} pushbutton (see Section 11: Front-
Panel Interface (Only on Models With LCD)).
SEL
OGIC control equation settings SS1–SS6 have priority over the serial port
GROUP command and the front-panel {GROUP} pushbutton in selecting the
active setting group.
Operation of SELOGIC
Control Equation
Settings SS1–SS6
Each setting group has its own set of SELOGIC control equation settings SS1–
SS6.
