3.4.4 This is how you enter the Chinese character
Entering Chinese characters
A character is selected using a phonetic spelling ("pinyin method"): whose sound can be
formed by combining Latin letters.
1. Enter the sound by combining Latin letters.
The editor lists a selection of characters that correspond to that particular sound.
2. Select the desired character using the cursor keys:

If you switch over the option field to enter Latin letters using the <SELECT> key, then the
entries are directly transferred
to the text box that had the focus before the Chinese editor was
opened.
