VM15 User Manual ECG Monitoring
106
General
ECG is the wave obtained the electronic energy through ECG Lead during the process of
depolarization and repolarization of heart muscle.
There are two ways of connection with electrode.
1. Right-Arm, Left-Arm, Left-Leg (3-Lead)
2. Right Arm, Left Arm, Right Leg, Left Leg. Chest (5-Lead)
VM15 displays the signs from electrode after amplification.

Preparations
To display the best ECG information on the screen, the electronic sign should be transmitted
in good condition.
For the exact ECG measurement, the below should be done.
I. Recommend to remove the hairs on the skin.
II. In case of the aged, remove the corneous tissue.
III. Clean the skin with Alcohol or skin cleaner.
IV. Dry the area to put the electrode before putting the electrode.
Location of electrode
There are two kinds of Lead
AHA: American Association (U.S.A)
IEC: International Electro technical Commission (Europe)
Refer to Table 16-1 for the location of electrode attachment
