Symptoms
Description
WEAK PULSE
Check that the cuff is in the correct position.
Check the patient.
Check that the cuff is properly tightened.
Check that there is no excessive clothing between the arm and the cuff.
Check that the correct size cuff is being applied.
ARTIFACT
The patient may have been moving too much.
Check that the cuff is in the correct position.
Check that the correct size cuff is being applied.
RETRY
The patient may have been moving too much.
Check that the cuff is properly tightened.
Check that the cuff is in the correct position.
Check that the correct size cuff is being applied.
Check that there is no excessive clothing between the arm
and the cuff.
MEASUREMENT TIME
LIMIT
The patient may have been moving too much.
Check that the cuff is properly tightened.
Check that the cuff is in the correct position.
Check that the correct size cuff is being applied.
Check that there is no excessive clothing between the arm
and the cuff.
PNEUMATIC BLOCKAGE
Check that the hose has no sharp bends or is pinched.
Check that the patient is not lying on the cuff.
Check that the cuff is in the correct position
INFLATE TIMEOUT
Check that the hose is connected to the system and the cuff.
Check that the cuff is properly tightened.
Check that the cuff is in the correct position.
Check that the correct size cuff is being applied.
Check that the cuff is not leaking air.
Check that the hose connections are not damaged or loose.
SAFETY TIMEOUT
Check the patient.
To reset the safety timer and continue taking BP measurements,
Perform the instructions in section 5.5 or cycle the logic power to
the module.
Check that the cuff is in the correct position.
The patient may have been moving too much.
Take another BP reading.
OVER PRESSURE
Check that the correct size cuff is being applied.
Check that the hose has no sharp bends or is pinched.
Check that the cuff is in the correct position.
Check that the patient is not lying on the cuff.
HARDWARE ERROR
Check that Vpump and Vlogic are within the voltage specifications.
Check the data/power input connection.
If applicable, check that sleep mode operation is correct.
Service may be required. Call a SunTech representative.
