Internal Failure.
Unit requires service.
INTERFERENCE
DETECTED
Outside signal or
energy preventing
reading.
Remove outside interference.
LOW PERFUSION
Signal too small.
Move sensor to better perfused site.
LOW SIGNAL IQ
Low signal quality.
Ensure proper sensor application. Move
sensor to a better perfused site.
NO CABLE
CONNECTED
No cable Connected
Connect appropriate cable to Instrument.
NO SENSOR
CONNECTED
Sensor not fully
inserted into the
connector.
Unit is searching for
patient’s pulse.
May be an incorrect sensor, or a defective
sensor or cable. Insert sensor into connector.
Disconnect and reconnect sensor.
Refer to the instructions for the sensor being
used. Disconnect and reconnect the sensor
with the logos matching.
PULSE SEARCH
Unit is searching for
patient’s pulse.
If values are not displayed within 30 seconds,
disconnect
and reconnect sensor.
If pulse search continues, remove sensor and
replace on a better perfused site.
SENSOR FAILURE
Internal Failure.
Unit requires service.
SENSOR OFF
PATIENT
Sensor off patient.
Disconnect and reconnect sensor. / Reattach
sensor.
TOO MUCH
AMBIENT LIGHT
Too much light on
patient (sensor).
Inadequate tissue
covering sensor
detector.
Remove or reduce lighting. / Cover sensor
from light.
Reposition sensor.
UNRECOGNIZED
SENSOR
Unrecognized sensor
Insert Masimo sensor
Failure messages
When Sensor Failure, Board Failure, Diagnostic Failure occur, Sensor Failure, Board Failure,
Diagnostic Failure message and relevant codes are displayed at information bar. It disappears
when problem is settled.
