9. Alarms and Limits
Description of warning and caution
WARNING: The emergence of Patient may not be properly noticed if the alarm
is off or the sound volume is too small.
WARNING: Check the Alarm Sound before using the patient monitor.
WARNING: Check the proper sound volume to the patient whenever using the
patient monitor.
WARNING: There is a basics 5 sec alarm delay to prevent false alarms
- If your patient monitor is connected to a CMS, remote suspension, inhibition,
silence and reset of monitor alarms via the CMS may cause a potential
hazard.
- CMS there is a basics 5 sec alarm delay to prevent false alarms.
( Data transmission delay is less than 0.5sec. (May different depending on
network.) )
CAUTION: Even if all alarms are released, if 3 types of Arrhythmia such as
Asystole, Ventricular Tachycardia, and Ventricular Fibrillation occur, an alarm
sound is generated.
General
VM15 can set alarm for all data to be measured.
When the measured value falls within the set alarm range, an alarm sound is generated and
the measured value on the screen blinks in the color corresponding to the set alarm type.
Please read carefully the contents of this section in order to learn how to interpret and react
appropriately to the alarms
