General
SpO2 shows the degree of saturation for Hemoglobin which can carry O2 in artery.
SpO2 shows the percentage of the O2 volume which is flowing comparing the carrying
capacity of Hemoglobin.
SpO2 does not show the volume of carboxy hemoglobin or methemoglobin because of the
abnormal Hemoglobin.
Setup Connection
Preparation for the patient
Things to do for the correct SpO2 measurement.
I. The recommendable locations: ears, fingers, toes.
II. Clean the part for SpO2 sensor.
III. Put the SpO2 sensor to the place that the patient wants.
IV. For the stable measurement, minimize the patient’s movement and fix the probe
cable. Fix the sensor not to move with care.
Connection of the accessory
Connect the cable to the place with SpO2 Icon in connect area (Left side of the monitor)
