Towing/Retrieving Machine
4. Turn park brake release override knob (4) CW until
tight.
5. Insert park brake release handle (5) into park brake
manual pump lever (6). Pump valve until brakes
release. Stow handle in holder (7).
6. Attach tow vehicle to the machine using a suitable
towing device strong enough to move and stop the
machine. Machine weight may exceed 75,000 lb
(34000 kg) based on fluid/asphalt content.
NOTICE: Damage to the pump and motor can result
from rotating without charge flow for lubrication. Bypass
valves are intended for moving a machine or vehicle for
very short distances at very slow speeds. They are not
tow valves.
7. After tow vehicle is securely attached remove wheel chocks. Tow disabled machine to a suitable
area.
8. Securely chock front and rear wheels to prevent machine from moving.
9. Apply park brake by turning park brake release override knob (4) CCW until tight.
10. Detach tow vehicle from disabled machine.
NOTICE: Before placing machine back into service, test the park brakes. Refer to "Chain Tension -
Manual Check/Adjust"

11. Turn each multifunction valve bypass (1) CW until tight (3 turns).
12. Remove wheel chocks.
