Paving
Distance From Paver Control System (Optional)
The Distance From Paver Control System maintains a set distance between the transfer vehicle (1)
and the asphalt paver. The system uses a sensor mounted on the discharge conveyor of the transfer
vehicle to read the distance to a target (2) mounted on the asphalt paver.
1. Position transfer vehicle (1) at the desired paving
position directly in front of paver. Refer to
"Distance
From Paver Control Setup (Optional)", page 3-29.
2. Monitor electronic display “Gauges Screen” and
verify “Actual Distance” (3) is within desired range.
3. Verify Park Brake Switch (4) is off.
4. Place Propel 3-Speed Control (5) in Work Low
position.
Machine moves automatically when Distance From Paver Control is
engaged. Death or serious injury possible if personnel on ground is struck,
crushed, or runover by machine.
Ensure path of machine is clear of personnel before engaging Distance
From Paver Control. Keep others away.
