16.1 Troubleshooting
• If a message is displayed on the screen, read the following pages.
• If servicing is necessary, or if the instrument is not operating correctly after performing
the corrective actions below, contact your nearest YOKOGAWA dealer.

The power cannot be
turned ON.
Nothing is displayed.
The display is odd.
The waveform display
does not update.

specified medium.
Cannot change settings
or control the operation
of the DL7400 via the
communication interface.
Using a power supply outside the ratings.
The backlight is turned OFF.
The screen colors are not appropriate.
The system is not operating properly.
Waveform data was loaded from an
external storage medium.
The DL7400 is in remote mode.
Other causes.
The trigger gate is enabled.
The trigger settings are not appropriate.
Insufficient warm-up.
Not calibrated.
The probe's phase has not been corrected.
The probe attenuation is not correct.
An offset voltage is added.
Other causes.
The printer head is damaged or worn out.
The medium is not formatted.
The medium is write-protected.
No more free space on the medium.
The address of the DL7400 used by
the program is different from the
specified address.
The interface is not used in a way that
conforms to the electrical or mechanical
specifications.
Use a correct power supply.
Press any key.
Set the screen color.
Power-cycle the DL7400.
Unload the loaded waveform data.
Press SHIFT + CLEAR TRACE to
enable local mode.
Perform a key test.
If the test fails, servicing is required.
Turn OFF the trigger gate.
Set the trigger conditions correctly.
Warm up the DL7400 for 30 minutes
after turning on the power.
Execute calibration.
Perform phase correction correctly.
Set an appropriate value.
Set the offset voltage to 0 V.
Execute calibration.
If the measured value is still odd,
servicing is required.
Servicing required.
Format the medium.
Release the medium's write-protect.
Delete unneeded files or use another
storage medium.
Match the address used in the program
to the address of the DL7400.
Use it in a way that conforms to the
specifications.
