Handoff Waveform Quality Measurement Troubleshooting
Handoff Waveform Quality Measurement Troubleshooting
Possible Setup Issues
If a handoff waveform quality measurement is attempted while in active cell operating mode, a call must be
connected so that long code information can be obtained from the mobile station and measurement triggers
can be synchronized to the CDMA frame clock inside the test set.
A radio configuration 3 (F3R3) or radio configuration 4 (F4R3) call must be connected.
The START SINGLE key initiates a handoff waveform quality measurement from the front panel
(see“Measuring Handoff Waveform Quality” for manual measurement instructions).
IMPORTANT If the Access Probe Power measurement is currently selected and the Trigger Arm setting is
Continuous, all other measurements are disabled. Use the “SETup:CAPPower:CONTinuous”
command to set the trigger arm state to single and retry this measurement.
The test set receiver’s expected signal amplitude and channel number (or frequency) must be set up correctly
for accurate measurements. This is normally done automatically (see “Active Cell Operating Mode” ) but can
also be done manually (see “Receiver Control” on page 194) .
Interpreting Integrity Indicator values
An integrity indicator of 17 (Can not correlate), indicates that the received signal did not correlate with an
internally generated reference signal. See “Integrity Indicator” on page 222.
