diagram. Ensure all fault & Annunciation contacts, trip contacts has been reset before
disconnecting relay.
If relay ADR233B is a newly installed then the trip counter of Relay should be zero while the
Relay is newly installation with CB. This counter can be reset by enabling Fault record/ CB data
in Clear Record Setting Menu
.
Note: This will also clear all fault memory and the set password.
Through Fault Stability Test (Pre-commissioning Test)
The Through Fault Stability of differential protection /REF protection needs to be confirmed at
site before putting the relay in service to confirm relay connections & settings to avoid any
maloperation. The different types (Ph-N, Ph-Ph and 3 Ph) of In Zone /Out Zone faults may be
created with appropriate external single phase/three phase current source. This test is to be
performed in system isolated condition only.
Post Instillation / Commissioning observation
After successful installation, confirm that amount of existing load voltage and current in each
phase (IA, IB, and IC) and Earth Fault (IN) within their range value. This can be confirmed with
Analogue/ Digital current meter available on panel with relay primary and secondary current
measurement window. In normal balanced load condition, current should be very low.
11.4 Relay Testing
11.4.1 Relay Calibration & Measurement
Before conducting actual test, confirm relay calibration by following method:
• Connect ADR233B relay to current injector and timer.
• Following chart shows terminal numbers of connections.
