7. Error messages/Malfunctions
This chapter provides information about possible malfunctions and error messages. You should
follow the instructions for troubleshooting in the order specified; they provide you with the
quickest route to a possible solution.

The Connect... window is dis-
played when starting BoardMas-
ter.
Circuit board plotter without power
supply.
Lamp at milling/drilling head is off.
Connect the circuit board plotter to
the power supply.
Make sure that the main switch is
in the position I.
Click on Connect....
The Connect... window is dis-
played repeatedly.
Connection settings do not corre-
spond to the installation
Check connection settings (see
"Checking the connection settings
(if neccessary)" on page 36).
Check communication settings in
the Windows system control (see
"Configuring the communication
port" on page 29).
The milling head lighting is off. Circuit board plotter is switched
off.
Switch the main switch to the
position I.
No power supply Make sure that the circuit board
plotter is connected to the power
supply.
Defective fuse Replace the fuse (see "Care and
maintenance").
Dust extraction does not start. No power supply Connect the dust extraction to the
power supply.
Dust extraction is switched off. Switch the operation mode switch
on the dust extraction to ON or
select automatic mode.
Defective fuse Press the RESET button on the
dust extraction.
No data communication. Check the wiring to the circuit
board plotter.
