2.1 Definitions
The following terms and acronyms may be used in this manual.

CDM Cab display module on a self-propelled windrower.
Center-link
A hydraulic cylinder or manually adjustable turnbuckle type link between the header
and the machine to w hich it is attached. It is used to change header angle.
CGVW Combined vehicle gross weight.
D-Seri

ECM
Engine control modu le.
Finger tight
Finger tight is a reference position where sealing surfaces or components are
making contact with each other and the fitting has been tightened to a point where
the fitting is no longer loose.

Header
A machine that cuts and lays crop into a windrow and is attached to a
self-propelled windrower.
Hex key
A
hex key or Allen key (also known by various other synonyms) is a tool of
hexagonal cross-section used to drive bolts and screws t hat have a hexagonal
socket in the head (internal-wrenching hexagon drive).

shape for original 37° flared fitting .
Knife
A cutting device which uses a reciprocating cutter. Also called a s ickle.

An internally threaded fastener that is designed to be paired with a bolt.
N-DETENT The slot opposite the NEUTRAL position on operator ’s console.
NPT
National Pipe Thread: a style of fitting used for low pressure port openings. Threads
on NPT fittings are uniquely tapered for an interference fit.
