OPERATION
Adjusting Float Using Drawbolts
Float adjustment uses drawbolts to change the tension on the springs in the lift linkages.
If nece ssary, adjust the oat with the drawbolts as follows:
CAUTION
Check to be s ure all by standers ha ve cleared t h e area.
1. Start engine.
2. Using HEADER UP (A) switch on ground speed
lever (GSL), raise the header fully, shut down engine,
and remove key.

3. Turn drawbolt (A) clockwise to increase oat (makes
header lighter) or counterclockwise to decrease oat
(makes header heavier).
4. Recheck the header oat as described in Checking
Float, page 120.

4.4.3 L evelling the Header
The windrower linkages are factory-set to provide the proper level for the header and should not normally
require adjustment.

gine and remove key from ignition before leaving operator's seat for any reason. A child or even a
pet cou
ld engage an idling machine.
