Read tolerance levels for the media family calibration
The evaluation of media family calibration results are based on set tolerance levels.
Color evaluation methods use metrics to decide if printed colors are close enough to their
reference colors or not. (

on page 437) A tolerance level or threshold level is set before the evaluation takes place.
The level specifies where a calculated difference is still acceptable and where not. A tolerance
level is also expressed by a â–³(Delta) value.
You cannot change or add tolerance levels for the media family calibration.
Tolerance levels for measurement accuracy
To decide if measurements are considered as accurate or not, the printer uses tolerance levels for
chart measurements.

To decide if paper white and primary colors are reproduced correctly or not, the printer uses
tolerance levels.
Read a tolerance level
1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Color]→[Color validation & verification].
