Send Log Sets
ThisfeatureletsyoumanuallygenerateastandardAutoSupportLog
(ASL)set(file)andemailittoapreconfiguredrecipientorsaveittoaUSB
device.YoucanusetheSendLogSetsoptiontoopenorupdateasupport
ticketandsendittoaspecifiedrecipientortoSpectraLogicTechnical
Support.TheASLincludedinthesupportticketincludesthefollowing
typesofinformation:
Librarymessagelogs
LibraryControlModule(LCM)logs
LCMconfiguration(includingthecurrentphysicalconfiguration)
AsimplifiedreportoftheMLMandDLMdatabases
ECdatafromallcomponents
BlueScaleversion
Contactinformationfordatacenterstaff
OtherlibraryinformationspecifiedintheAutoSupportuserprofile
Log Forwarding
ThisfeatureconfiguresthelibrarytosendmonthlyASLfilesto
preconfiguredrecipients(seeConfigureLogSetForwardingonpage339).
Critical Alarms
Whenyouenablecriticalalarms,thelibraryautomaticallygeneratesan
ASLfilewheneveranyoftheeventsinthefollowingtableoccurs.Ifyou
configuredoneofyourAutoSupportprofilesastheAutoSendProfile(see
Step4onpage336),thelibraryautomaticallysendstheASLfiletothemail
recipientsintheAutoSendprofile.
Note: Ifyouselectautosupport@spectralogic.comasamailrecipientin
theAutoSendprofile,thelibraryalsosendstheASLfileanda
ticketrequesttoSpectraLogicTechnicalSupport.
For this event... An AutoSupport ticket request is generated...
Motion Restart Whenevermotionrestarts.Eachmotionrestartistreatedasaseparateevent
andresultsingenerationandsubmissionofanAutoSupportticketrequest.

thirtyminutes.OnlyoneAutoSupport ticketrequestisgeneratedforeach
30minutetimeperiod.
Power Supply
Failure
Whenapowersupplyfails.Eachpowersupplyisevaluat edseparately.Onlyone
AutoSupportticketrequestperpowersupplyisgeneratedfor each24hourtime
period,evenifthepowersupplyfailsandthenresumesoperationrepeatedly.If
twopowersuppliesfailduringthesame24hourtimeperiod,two
separa te
AutoSupportticketrequestsaregenerated,oneperfailedpowersupply.
