2.2.5 DC Measurement
This section describes the basic usage, functions, operation of the 6241A/6242, and operation with voltage
source current measurement (VSIM). The unit changes the source voltage to limit the current (called cur-
rent-limiter). Also how to control current source voltage measurement (ISVM) is described.
1 KΩ resistor is used as the DUT for the measurement.
Figure 2-15 shows DC measurement operating modes and the operating points.

Preparation
1. Follow the procedure described in Section 2.2.4, “Initializing Setting Condi-
tions” and initialize the settings of this instrument.
2. Connect the DUT with the supplied input and output cable.
• Connect the input and output cable to HI OUTPUT and LO OUTPUT termi-
nals of this instrument.
• Connect the DUT 1 kΩ resistor.
