Voltage
A linear slide bar with a display sets the supply's high voltage output.
Range
Sets the High Voltage supply's output Range and polarity. This control, if present,
must be set before the Voltage Limit or Voltage Control is adjusted. This control auto
-
matically changes the upper value for the Voltage Limit and Voltage controls.
Note
The Range and Limit options may be disabled by User option entry sepa
-
rately from the HVPS settings. See HVPS Limit Adjust in the Security pa
-
rameter settings, on page 119.
Limit
The High Voltage Limit establishes the maximum level to which the power supply
may be set. This parameter must be set before the Voltage control is adjusted.
Note
The Range and Limit options may be disabled by User option entry sepa
-
rately from the HVPS settings. See HVPS Limit Adjust in the Security pa-
rameter settings, on page 119.
On
This checkbox enables (when checked) the HVPS output. The default setting is Off
(unchecked). Check the On box to activate the HVPS output.
Note The HVPS output is automatically shut down, and the On checkbox is auto-
matically unchecked if a HVPS Fault state is experienced. The Status
display on this page will indicate if such a fault has occurred, and this event
will also be recorded in the event log.
The On checkbox must be manually re-checked to reactivate High Volt
-
age output after the Fault condition has been addressed.
Polarity
Sets the polarity of the output voltage. Default is positive polarity. Check the box to
set the polarity to negative.
Inhibit
High Voltage Inhibit Control disables or enables the High Voltage Supply's In
-
hibit Latch. The Inhibit Latch works in the same manner as the Current Overload
Latch, except that it is triggered by the rear panel's Inhibit signal from an external
module, such as LN
2
Monitor. See also Inhibit Polarity and Reset, below.
