DHCP Setup Changes - optional, for IP network use
If using Lynx on a DHCP network, the following must be reconfigured in the Lynx in
order for it to operate on that network type. After this change is made, disconnect the
Red Crossover cable, and then connect the Lynx to the site's network or router/hub
connection box using the Yellow regular CAT5 network cable.
You must connect with the Lynx to make changes in it. You must change the
Lynx setting from its default fixed IP address to connect using DHCP instead.
The Name of the Lynx must be set as desired. Its default name is “Lynx” and
if you only have one Lynx unit you may choose to leave this as is.
If your PC supports Universal Plug and Play discovery, uPnP can help you
initially connect with the Lynx.
