5. When the driver files have been downloaded, extract them to a known
directory (they will be installed on the host computer).
6. Log Out of the Lynx. Disconnect your PC from the IP network.
Connect Your PC to the Lynx via USB
Note If/when Windows prompts you to install the driver file, browse the directory
in Step 5 above. This might only be required with Windows 2000.
7. Connect the USB cable from your PC to the Lynx. Auto-discovery on your
Windows PC should recognize the USB connection to the Lynx.
Windows will automatically run the RNDIS client setup for a USB adapter, which
will be labeled DSA3K USB Remote NDIS adapter. If you get pop-ups in this
process, acknowledge them to allow this installation to proceed. You will see this
adapter in the Network Connections window (see Step 10 below).
8. After auto-discovery is finished, it may take a brief period of time before the
USB connection functions. Wait until it appears to complete this process.
9.
Right-click on the My Network Places icon and select Properties. This
will bring up the Network Connections window.
10.
Right-click on the icon for the new USB connection, labeled DSA3K USB
Remote NDIS adapter. Select Properties for this RNDIS adapter.
