MCS CH ADV
MCS Channel Advance accepts external MCS channel advance signals.
PHA ACQ SS
PHA Acquisition Start / Stop. Accepts external signals to start/stop data acquisi
-
tion if using PHA mode; two software selectable modes (one for Start, Stop, or Start &
Stop modes; the other for Suspend & Resume mode)
SWEEP ADV
MCS Sweep Advance accepts external MCS sweep advance signals; polarity is
software selectable.
SYNC
Synchronization input/output signal connector for multiple DSAs running acquisi
-
tions; signal operation and direction are software selectable.
TRP INH
Accepts inhibit signal from a transistor reset preamp; its function depends on se-
lected mode, Norm or Reset.
General Purpose I/O
Three general purpose input/output connectors are provided. See Test Pulser options
in MCA Settings | Counters for option settings.
GP I/0 1
Accepts signals for auxiliary counting, when Test Pulser is disabled.
GP I/O 2
Accepts signals for auxiliary counting, when Test Pulser is disabled.
GP I/O 3
GPIO3 is used to receive the Test Pulser signal (if enabled).
Outputs
CHGR ADV
Sample Changer Advance output provides a pulse for each sample advance com
-
mand.
ICR
Incoming Count Rate connector provides a positive output pulse for each incoming
event above the instrument's threshold setting.
