High Voltage Power Connectors
Only one of these three High Voltage connectors (HV+, HV–, and ±200 V) can be ac
-
tive at a time.
HV+ – Positive High Voltage output connector; SHV. Software selectable range of
150 - 1500 V DC or 1500 - 5000 V dc.
HV– - Negative High Voltage output connector; SHV. Software selectable range of
150–1500 V DC or 1500–5000 V dc.
+/–200 V – ±200 V DC voltage output connector; SHV.
Communication Ports
The Lynx may be operated remotely using one or several communication methods.
10/100 BASE-TX Ethernet – Female RJ45-type 8-pin modular jack for connection
to an IP Ethernet network or directly to a host computer. Port settings under software
control and are configurable. Factory settings cooperate with Universal Plug n Play
detection by a host Windows computer, and the wired Internet interface is operational
out-of-the-box using the static URL 10.0.0.3.
USB – USB B-type (square-shaped) connector, labeled USB D (for USB Device).
Full speed USB support for direct connection of Lynx to a host computer or a USB
hub. The USB interface is software-configurable and must be set up before it is opera-
tional. USB connection uses RNDIS settings for Remote NDIS. Its factory default
URL is 10.0.0.2.
RS-232 – 9-pin male D-connector (DB9M). Can be configured through software to
support UPnP (universal plug and play) connection for instrument control. This serial
interface is software configurable and must be set up before it is operational. RS-232
is used for a Serial line connection or for Remote Modem connection, using Remote
Access Services (RAS) setup. Its factory default URL is 10.0.0.1.
