Settings on Your PC
You will likely use a PC and an Internet Browser to connect with the Lynx system.
Your webpage images are affected by your choice of browser.
Your computer's screen resolution should be set for 1024 x 768 pixels, or greater.
Maximize your screen. A keyboard and mouse (or other selection device) is used.
No special 'client' software is installed on your computer, except that you must have an
Internet Browser installed. Microsoft's Internet Explorer is used for most images in
this document. Released versions of other commonly-used browsers (IE 6.0 and 7.0,
Mobile IE, Safari, Netscape, Firefox, and Opera) are supported by Lynx.
Note Some browsers do not support Java or have limitations with Java, so the ac
-
tual displayed results may vary slightly from an image shown here.
This chapter focuses on the Ethernet web-enabled network connection to the Lynx sys
-
tem, which is used to initially set it up. During acquisition, you may interact with the
output display, to identify ROIs and a number of parameters to refine your data, as de
-
sired.
Print to Default Printer
You may print the spectrum report to your PC's default printer, if you have one.
Printed output is dependent on your choice of browser. Internet Explorer works well
for printing. Opera does not work for printing (at time of this publication).
Save as a CAM file
The acquired spectrum and its configuration data may be saved and exported to a stor-
age location (e.g. to your PC's hard drive or computer network) in CAM format for re
-
view with other Canberra software products.
Save as N42 file
The configuration data may be stored in N42 format. N42 refers to the ANSI-N42 file
format.
