Alternate Setup Connection
If you wish, you may instead make a connection to Lynx using the RS-232 Serial Port
on your PC and using the provided null-modem cable to connect directly to the Lynx.
Note This requires that you set up a RAS account so the Browser on your PC can
interface with the Lynx' web-based interface.
This may be less desirable than the direct network port connection (described above),
especially if this is just a 'temporary' connection for programming access to the Lynx,
due to the steps needed to set up a RAS account on your Windows PC.
Connect your PC to Lynx using the null modem cable provided with the Lynx.
Set up a RAS account for your Windows PC in order to access the Lynx. See
Page 169 for guidance on RAS setup for this wired serial connection.
From your PC, open your Internet browser and connect to the Lynx using RAS.
Log In to the Lynx system.
Go to the Setup | Network page in the Lynx Menu. Enter your network (IP)
information.
Press Submit to keep the new network settings. You may now connect the
yellow IP network cable and communicate with Lynx via that method instead.
