MON OUT
A snapshot image of the internally-shaped energy signal to an external oscilloscope.
Can be manually used in Diagnostic mode to review the energy signal.
SCA
Provides a pulse for each incoming event with an energy between the instrument's up
-
per and lower level discriminator (ULD and LLD) settings.
PREAMP
Supplies DC power to a preamp; supports NAID thermistor monitoring. This is a DB9
female connector with a bail to secure the special Preamp cable.
High Voltage Power Supply Outputs
The Lynx provides a triple-ranged high voltage power supply (HVPS) for your detec
-
tors. Only one of the high voltage connectors is active at a time, depending on the
user's settings, and status of their acquisition operations.
DANGER High voltage direct current energy can be present on the
High Voltage Power connectors, which can be harmful.
Separate connectors are provided for positive (HV+) and negative (HV–) high range
outputs. A single connector is provided for ±200 V output.
HV+
Positive high voltage output (range is +200 to +5000 V)
HV–
Negative high voltage output (range is –200 to –5000 V)
±200 V
±200 V dc output (range is –200 to +200 V)
All HVPS outputs are current limited and short-circuit protected.
CAUTION Incorrect connection and/or control settings of the HVPS for
your Detector can damage your Detector.
The High Voltage Outputs may be subject to the status and settings for a High Voltage
Inhibit signal for a preamplifier. These protective features might be defeated if the In
-
hibit Signal input is improperly connected or configured.
