Print
The Print command will print a representative grayscale copy of the Spectral Plot to
the default Printer already configured for your local PC.
The Print option is browser-dependent. If no 'Print' option is provided in the Lynx
Menu, you may use your browser's own 'Print' capabilities. If you have special print
-
ing requirements, you should configure these options using Windows Print Setup com
-
mands beforehand.
Printing of the Audit Log or other functions is handled separately.
Java Images of your Plot
Browsers that have issues with Java image rendering will instead use a 'non-Java-ren
-
dered' image of the Lynx' spectral display, and will provide a grayscale snapshot of the
on-screen display, based on your relative color settings.
Best printing results are obtained when using Internet Explorer to communicate with
your Lynx, to which you are connected over an IP network connection.
Depending on your browser, the Print function may ignore the color settings to pro-
vide a suitable grayscale image with a printed monochromatic plot on a non-printed
background. This is true only for Internet Explorer, as of this writing.
Note Printing using current versions of Opera provides less-than-desirable output
as of this manual's date. Use a different browser if printing is required.
All Serial or USB-connected applications will print a snapshot of a non-Java-rendered
image. This is due to the nature of the serial or USB connection, and is not a defi
-
ciency of the product or this interface.
Display Preferences
Display Preferences affects your local browser's display settings. Some browsers (such
as Internet Explorer) do not show the Display Preferences item from the Lynx Menu,
but rather always present these parameters in the control pane.
Note This Menu option is browser-specific (applying to Mobile IE, Safari,
Netscape, and Firefox). Display preference functions are an inherent part of
the spectral display for Opera and regular versions of Internet Explorer.
In some browsers, the display Options and preferences may be accessed from a frame
adjacent to the graphic display, separate from the Lynx menu. Changing these settings
does not affect the acquired data, only the visible display.
