PUR/LTC
The Pile-Up Rejection (PUR) and Live Time Correction (LTC) control options:
•
Off disables the rejection of pile-up events. As events are not rejected, no
correction is required.
•
On enables the rejection and live time correction of pile-up events.
PUR Guard
Selects the Pile-Up Rejection Guard value. This value, when multiplied by the
shaping time (Rise plus Flat Top), determines the minimum time between events to
cause 'no rejection' of the events.
Gain
The Gain options are accessed using this page:
Fine Gain
Sets the Fine Gain of the amplifier, which is multiplied by the selected Coarse Gain to
determine the amplifier's total gain.
Use the Fine Gain slidebar to adjust the Fine Gain value to affect the total gain set

ting. Makes smaller increments to the overall gain. Use for fine-tuning peak locations.
