Sampling Options
The Sampling Options are Averaging and Pileup Rejection.
Averaging
Averaging lets you select the number of sweeps to average for the analog traces; 1–64
sweeps in binary steps.
Pileup Rejection
If Pileup Rejection is enabled, piled up events will be rejected (not displayed). A piled
up event is one in which a following pulse appears on tail of first pulse, giving the sec
-
ond pulse a false (greater) amplitude.
Trigger Options
The Trigger Options for the DSO are Mode and Status.
Mode
Select Continuous Mode or Single Mode.
If you select the Single Mode, you must press the Arm button in order to
manually operate the system, which is then accomplished by pressing the
Trigger button.
If you select Continuous Mode, you do not need to manually Arm the system
in order to allow it to operate. Press Trigger to operate the system.
Trigger Status
Status displays "Waiting for Trigger" before trigger has operated.
Status Window
A Status window gives a real-time report of recent DSO activity (button operations,
and their current status results) on-screen.
