Mode
Defines how all of the SCAs are acquired and buffered - Automatic or Manual. Man
-
ual indicates that you must invoke the latch and clear commands. Automatic indicates
that the software will invoke the latch and clear automatically; once latched the SCA
counter values are automatically buffered.
–
Automatic will cause the Lynx to automatically buffer SCA data based on
the preset conditions. The buffer may be retrieved using the Lynx
Programming Libraries.
–
Manual will give control to the browser or third party application. SCA
data will not be buffered and the preset conditions are ignored because
counting is based on the control of the browser or third party application.
Sync. Clock Source
The Synchronization Clock Source is enabled only when External Sync Status
(see MCA Settings | External Synchronization for options) is set to Independ
-
ent. The clock source applies to all of the SCAs.
If External Synchronization is set to Independent, the Sync. Clock Source then iden-
tifies the clock source used when external synchronization is Enabled. Options are In-
ternal or External, as follows:
• Internal means that the clock source is the internal 1µs clock.
• External means that the clock source is defined by the External Sync input.
Preset
Options
This is used for Automatic mode only. It defines preset conditions for all SCAs. Op
-
tions are live time and real time.
Limit
This is used for Automatic mode only. It defines the Preset Time Limit for all SCAs.
Definitions
This table defines the LLD (Lower Level Discriminator) and ULD (Upper Level
Discriminator) in percent for each SCA. A value of 0 for both indicates that the SCA
is not used.
