Grid and Labels
Grid Lines and Axis Labels may be turned on or off using check-boxes.
Scaling
The display height (Y-axis) may automatically adjust its size (based on your cursor
position) to keep the plot on-screen if Auto-Scale is checked. You may manually
resize the scale at any time, using the Scroll bar to the right side of the display.
X-Scale or X-Units
The X-Axis' scale can be set to Channel or Energy. The labels update accordingly.
Y-Scale or Y-Units
The Y-Axis' scale can be set to Linear or Logarithm. The labels will change accord
-
ingly. You may adjust the scale using a scroll bar to the right of the display.
Plot Type or Plot Mode
The spectrum data can be plotted as Normal, Envelope or Fill. Plot mode is
browser-dependent. You may change the real-time view from one plot mode to an-
other without restarting the acquisition.
Note
Using Fill mode while printing may not be desirable.
Screen Colors
The default screen image uses a dark background with a yellow spectral plot, for read-
ability on most monitors and displays.
The on-screen display may be changed to affect its appearance. Individual color op

tions for the Spectrum, the display Background, a Comparison spectral plot, and four
ROI selections may be set to choose from a palate of sixteen different colors.
Screen colors will affect the grayscale output in some of the printed images, depending
on the browser you are using. It may be desirable to adjust the spectral display colors
for printed output purposes.
All USB-connected applications will see a non-Java-rendered image, which updates
the plot in near-real-time to provide a representative display.
