CAUTION Before approaching the open Lynx unit, touch the outside of
its metal case to discharge any electro-static energy, and
maintain contact with the metal case while working inside the
unit. Be careful to not contact any circuit boards or
components inside the Lynx unit with your Allen wrench.
Using two of the provided socket-head cap screws (SHCS), you will join the right
Lynx to the left Lynx (as facing them from their front sides).
From inside the right Lynx unit, and using two SHCS in the two upper screw
holes (just above the circuit boards), insert and tighten the screws until snug
with your Allen wrench. Do not over-tighten the screws.
You will use two provided flat-head Phillips screws, provided in the kit, to
attach each of the rack bracket/handles to the side of the joined units. Position
the handles to the forward-most holes on the side of the Lynx units.
After the components are assembled, it should be sturdy and without flexing or move-
ment.
Replace the cover on the right-side Lynx unit, using its original screws.
Remove and discard the rubber feet from the bottom of the Lynx units.
Install the joined components in any 2U (3.5 inch) opening into the front of
your equipment rack, using your rack's mounting screws.
Finally, connect the power, network, antenna and Acquisition device cables as usual.
