160 Set the Remote Standby Duration Timer
10.19.2 Set the Remote Standby Duration Timer
The zone temperature decreases for a specified time duration or until it gets to a set remote
standby temperature.
NOTE: If the remote standby feature is not installed on the system, only the Manual Standby
Duration Timer setting is shown on the screen.
To set the Remote Standby Duration Timer, do the steps that follow:
1. On the System Setup screen, touch the Heats Setup tab and then touch the Control
Page 1 tab.
2. Touch the Remote Standby Duration Timer field that is below Remote Standby.
3. Enter the time requirement in this format: HHMMSS.
4. Touch the Accept button.
10.19.3 Set the Remote Standby Delay Timer
The Remote Standby Delay Timer is a feature available with remote standby. Use this delay
timer to protect the product material, so it does not get burned if the molding machine is
stopped for a specified time period. If the Remote Standby Delay Timer is set, the Altanium
controller will not decrease the temperatures until the delay time has elapsed.
For example, when the operator gate on the molding machine is opened, a signal to start the
Remote Standby Delay Timer could be sent to the Altanium controller. If the operator gate is
closed before the delay time has elapsed, the controller will not enter standby. If the operator
gate stays open, the controller then enters standby.
