314 Supported Electrical Failures
16.8.1 Supported Electrical Failures
The controller will help detect and give possible solutions for 9 electrical failures:
Wired
• Heater leaking current to earth
• Heater connected to earth
• Heater wired to a thermocouple
• Heater mis-wired to another zone
• Heater short on the mechanical relay side of the circuit
• Heater short on the TRIAC side of the circuit
• Loose neutral wire on the input power
Control Card Related
• The mechanical relay on the control card failed closed.
• The TRIAC on the control card failed.
The Intelligent Control Card (ICC) related failures will show the Go To Card Layout button
under the Help column of the Potential Solutions field. Refer to Figure 16-48. Touch this
button to see the Card Layout screen, which will help you find the ICC that caused the failure.
Refer to Section 16.2 for information about the Card Layout screen.
Refer to Section 16.3.1 for information about how to replace an ICC, or Section 16.3.2 for
information about how to replace an ICC open fuse.
