166 Set the Resin Degradation Limit
10.21.1 Set the Resin Degradation Limit
The Resin Degradation Limit is the temperature used to make the decision when to start the
timer. The default value is 121 °C (250 °F).
To set the Resin Degradation Limit, do the steps that follow:
1. On the System Setup screen, touch the Heats Setup tab and then touch the Control
Page 1 tab.
2. Touch the Resin Degradation Limit field that is below Resin Protection Timer.
3. Enter the temperature and then touch the Accept button.
10.21.2 Set the Cycle Idle Time Limit
The Cycle Idle Time Limit is the duration of time that must elapse before the system does one
of the reactions. The timer starts when one of the zone’s actual temperature is at or more
than the Resin Degradation Limit and the controller is not cycling. The timer resets when one
of those conditions is no longer TRUE. The timer can be set between a minimum of 1 minute
and a maximum of 90 minutes. The default value is 30 minutes.
To set the Cycle Idle Time Limit, do the steps that follow:
1. On the System Setup screen, touch the Heats Setup tab and then touch the Control
Page 1 tab.
2. Touch the Cycle Idle Time Limit field that is below Resin Protection Timer.
3. Enter the time and then touch the Accept button.
NOTE: Below the Cycle Idle Time Limit is the Elapsed Idle Time field, which shows the time
that has elapsed from when the timer was started. This updates in one-minute
increments.
10.21.3 Set the Cycle Idle Reaction
The Cycle Idle Reaction is the operation that occurs if the Cycle Idle Time Limit expires. The
reactions that can be selected are:
No Reaction – No operation is done.
Warning Notification – An alarm is activated when the timer completes.
Put Heats in Standby (Default Value) – The controller enters Manual Standby mode
automatically. An alarm is also activated.
Turn Heats Off – The controller turns off automatically and an alarm is activated. The
alarm then de-activates because the system turns off.
To set the Cycle Idle Reaction, do the steps that follow:
1. On the System Setup screen, touch the Heats Setup tab and then touch the Control
Page 1 tab.
2. Touch the Cycle Idle Reaction field that is below Resin Protection Timer.
3. Touch the reaction in the list to select it.
