74 Remote Boost
7.8.1.7 Remote Boost
The Remote Boost fields are described in Table 7-13.
7.8.1.8 Advanced Settings
The Advanced Settings fields are described in Table 7-14.

Item Description
Temperature Setpoint Remote boost is started by a digital input signal from the IMM. This
setting raises all zones to their remote boost setpoint until the timer
completes or the input signal is off. Possible values are 0 to 500 °C or 32
to 932 °F. The default value is No Change.
Temperature Minimum
These values specify the range limits in which the Remote Boost
Temperature can be set.
Temperature Maximum
Power Setpoint Remote boost is started by a digital input signal from the IMM. This
setting raises all zones to their remote boost setpoint until the timer
completes or the input signal is off. Possible values are 0% – 100%. The
default value is 90%.
Power Minimum
These values specify the percentage range limits in which the Remote
Boost Power can be set.

Item Description
Output Power Limit Touch this field to set the maximum percentage of power output that the
system can supply to the zone(s).
Assign Leader Zone Assigning a leader zone can be necessary when a zone's thermocouple
fails during normal operation. After a leader zone is specified, the failed
zone is able to continue operation. The Assign Leader Zone setting lets
you use the leader zone's power output percentage for the selected
zone. A value of "No Flw" means that the selected zone is not assigned to
a leader zone.
Thermocouple
Assignment
The number of the thermocouple to which the zone is connected.
Output Mode Changes the power output modulation for a zone during normal
operation. Choices are Zero Cross or Phase Angle.
Heater Type Select one of the heater types that follow: None, Tips, Manifold, or Sprue.
These settings are used to configure the power deviation alarm.
AMC - Automatic
Manual Control
Automatic Manual Control (AMC) lets the Altanium automatically apply a
manual power output percentage to a heater based on a historical
average if a thermocouple fails.
