Chapter 16 Maintenance
This chapter describes the maintenance tasks necessary to maintain the Altanium Delta5
system.
At intervals and before you energize the equipment, do a check of all cables and cable
connections to make sure that there is no wear or damage. Do not operate equipment if the
cables are damaged. Replace cables that are damaged.
The maintenance procedures that follow can be done only when necessary.
16.1 Delta5 System
Two primary components of the Delta5 systems are serviceable:
• X-Series or H-Series intelligent control cards (ICC)s
• Delta5 operator interface
The Altanium operator interface display module is used to enter and display molding
parameters. Refer to Figure 16-1. Before doing maintenance on the Delta5 system, always de-
energize the system at the Altanium main power switch. Refer to Figure 16-2. Do the lock out
and tag the Altanium main power switch in accordance with local codes.
