Youcanrecordpatternsineitheroftwoways;realtime
recordingorsteprecording.However,patternrealtime
recordingdiffersfromsongrealtimerecordinginthat
youcanuseonlyLooptyperecording.
YoucaneditpatternsbyusingEventEditoperationsto
modifytherecordeddataorinsertnewdata.Youcan
alsous

commandtoconvertadesiredregionofperformance
datafromaMIDItrackintoapattern.Conversely,you
canusethePuttoMIDITrackorCopytoMIDITrack
pagemenucommandstoplaceorcopythe

Here’showyoucanuserealtimerecordingtocreatea
pattern.UserpatternscanbeaccessedbytheRPPR
functioninthesamewayaspresetpatterns,andcanbe
copiedtoorplacedinasong.Playbackdatafroma
trackcanalsobecopiedtoapattern.
Whenrealtime‐recordingapatte
rn,a
patternofthe
specifiednumberofmeasureswillplayback
repeatedly,allowingyoutocontinueaddingmusical
datatoit.

tracktotheprogramthatwillbeusedbythe
pattern.
