Sending the output of a multisample to
an effect bus

JustasyoucaninSamplingmode,theProgram,
Combination,andSequencermodesalsoletyouapply
theKRONOS’effectstothesignalsfromtheanalog,
S/P DIF, orUSBinputsandsampletheresult,ortouse
theKRONOSasa6in(analog,S/P DIF,andUSB)6out
effectprocessor.Yo
ucanalsous
etheKRONOSasa
vocodereffect(026:Vocoder)thatusesanexternalmic
inputtocontroltheinternalsounds.
InputrelatedsettingsaremadeintheP0–Audio
Input/Samplingpageofeachmode.Normally,youwill
makesettingsintheGlobalmodeP0:BasicSetup–
Audiopageandshareth
esese
ttingsinallmodes,but
youcanalsomakeindividualsettingsforaspecific
program(inProgrammode)if,forexample,youwant
tousethatprogramasavocoder.
Routing to IFX, outputs, and buses
1. GototheGlobalP0:BasicSetup–Audiopage.
Note:YoumustmovetoGlobalmodefromthe
mode(otherthanSamplingmode)inwhichyou
wanttoinputtheexternalaudiosignals.Ifyou
movefromSamplingmodetoGlobalmode,the
AudioInputsettingsofSamplingmodewillbe
maintained,andyo
uwon tbeabletoviewthe
settingsofthispage.
ThesesettingsarenotusedinSamplingmode.
AudioinputsettingsforSamplingmodearemade
intheSamplingP0:Recording–AudioInputpage.
Whenapplyingeffectstothesignalsfromthe
analog,S/P DIF,orUSBinputs,oscillationmay
occurdepe
ndingontheeffecttypeandparameter
settings.Ifso,adjusttheinputlevel,outputlevel,
andeffectparameters.Inparticular,usecaution
whenusinghighgaineffects.
2. UseBusSelect(IFX/Indiv.)tospecifythebusto
whicheachaudioinputwillbesent.
Forexampleifyouwantthesignalfromade
v
ice
connectedtoAUDIOINPUT1tobeinputtoinsert
effect1,settheINPUT1BusSelect(IFX/Indiv.)to
IFX1.
3. UseSend1andSend2tospecifythesendlevelof
eachtimbretothemastereffects.
ThiscanbesetonlyifBusSelect(IFX/Indiv.)isset
toL/RorOff.
IfBusSelect(IFX/Indiv.)issettoIFX1–12,thesend
levelstothemastereffectsaresetbySend1and
Send2(InsertFXpage)followingtheinserteffects.
4. SetPLAY/MUTEandSoloOn/Offasdesired.You
canusethecontrolsurfacetomakethesesettings.
