3. UseASSIGN”toassigneachGErealtime
parametertothedesiredcontroller.
4. UsePolaritytospecify
thepolarityofcontrol.

Perf RTP (Perf Real-Time Parameters)
Here’showKARMAparameterssuchasKARMA
keyzoneandKARMAmoduleparameters(i.e.,
KARMAparametersotherthanGErealtime
parameters)canbeassignedtocontrollers.
Ifyou’veassignedtheseparameterstoKARMA
CONTROLS,you’llbeabletocontrolthemin
realtimewhileyouperform(see“ControlSurface
knobs,sliders,&
switches”onpage 51,and“7–6b:
PerfRealTimeParametersonpage 116ofthe
ParameterGuide).
1. AccesstheProgramP7:PerfRealTimeParameters
page.
Asanexample,we’llshowhowyoucanusea
KARMACONTROLSslidertocontroltheKARMA
moduleparameter“Transpose.”
2. Use“Group”and“Parametertoselectthe
parameter
youwanttocontrol.
Forthisexample,set“Group”:Mix,and
“Parameter”:Transpose.Turn“A on(checked)so
thatthesliderwillcontrolKARMAmodule[A].
3. Specifytherangeandvaluethatyouwantto
control.
Thesettingoftheparameterwillbeassignedby
default(–12inthisexample),asdescribedunder“7–
3b:ModuleParameterControl”onpage 106ofthe
ParameterGuide.
Forthisexample,set“Min,”“Max,and“Value”to
–24,+0,and–12respectively.
4. Use“Assigntoassignthedesiredcontroller.

5. UsePolaritytospecifythepolarityofcontrol.
Forthisexample,specify“+”.

KNOBS/KARMAandoperateslider1,the
Transposesettingwillchangeinsemitonestepsover
arangeof–24to+0,with–12asthecentervalue.
Note:Ifyouset“ParametertoTransposeOctave,
thechangewilloccurinstepsofoneoctaveovera
rangeof–24to+0,with–12asthecentervalue.
IfyouselectTransposeOctave/5th,thechangewill
occurinalternatingstepsofanoctaveorafifth,over
arangeof–24to+0with–12asthecentervalue.For
exampleifthisparameterisattheMinsettinganda
C3noteissounding,movingslider1from000
toward127willcauseapitchchangeofC3G3
C4G4C5.
Dynamic MIDI setting
DynamicMIDIletsyouuseanOASYScontrollerora
MIDIcontrolmessagetocontrolaspecificparameter
oftheKARMAfunction.Youcanspecifyuptoeight
controllers(Source)andwhattheywilldo

Linking KARMA settings to Program changes
KARMAsettingscanbesavedindividuallyforeach
Program.Normally,whenyouselectanewProgram,
itsKARMAsettingswillbeloadedaswell.Insome
Slider 1–8 000-064-127 =MIN-VALUE-MAX
Slider 1–8 (SW) 000-063 = MIN, 064-127 = MAX
SW 1–8 Off = MIN, On = MAX
DynaMIDI 1–8 Depending on Dynamic MIDI setting
