Adding Electrolyte to the Battery
WARNING
• Keep all smoking materials, sparks, and flames
away from electrolyte container and battery, as
gas given off by electrolyte is explosive.
• Battery electrolyte causes severe burns. Avoid
contactwith skin, eyes or clothing. Wear protective
eyewear and heavy gloves.

WARNING
• If electrolyte is spilled or splashed on clothing
or on the body, neutralize it immediately with a
solution of baking soda and water, then rinse with
clean water.
• Electrolyte splashed into the eyes is ext remely
dangerous. Should this occur, force the eye open,
and flood with cool, clean water for five minutes.
Call a Doctor immediately.

DANGER
Stop engine and remove key from ignition before
leaving operator's seat for any reason. A child or
even a pet could engage an idling machine.
1. If battery is installed in windrower, stop the engine and
remove the key.
2. Open the platform. Refer to 5.5.1 Opening Platform
(Standard Position), page 205.
3. Open the hood. Refer to 5.4.3 Opening Hood (Highest
Position), page 203.
4. Add electrolyte in accordance with the battery
manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Close the platform. Refer to 5.5.2 Closing Platform
(Standard Position), page 206.
6. Close the hood. Refer to 5.4.4 Closing Hood (Highest
Position), page 204.
