11.8.7.8 Viewing RP Mapping Summary
Non-Configurable Data
RP Address - The IP address of the RP to be used for groups within this group prefix.
Group Address - The IP multicast group address which, when combined with group mask, gives the
group prefix for this mapping. This address object is only significant up to prefix length bits. The
remainder of the address bits are zero. This is especially important for this field, which is part of the
index of this entry. Any non-zero bits would signify an entirely different entry.
Group Mask - The multicast group prefix length that, when combined with group address, gives the
group prefix for this mapping.
Origin - Origin from where this group mapping is learnt.
Expiry Time - The minimum time remaining before this entry will be aged out. The value zero
indicates that this entry will never be aged out. This field is not-applicable for statically configured
entries.
Next CRP Advertisement - The time remaining to send the Next Candidate RP advertisement. This
field is not-applicable for statically configured entries.
